Lyrical (Ages 11 & Up)

Focus: Developing expressive, emotional storytelling through movement while maintaining strong technical foundation in ballet and jazz.

Students Will Learn

• Emotional expression and performance artistry
• Turns, leaps, and controlled extensions
• Floor work and weight transitions
• Musical interpretation and phrasing
• Strength, flexibility, and control
• Choreography and performance combinations

Recommended For: Dancers ages 11 and up with prior dance experience, ideally with ballet and/or jazz training.

Class Expectations

Lyrical dance blends ballet technique with jazz and contemporary influences. Dancers are expected to maintain strong technical training, especially in ballet, to support balance, control, and artistry in movement. Placement is based on technical readiness, maturity, and instructor recommendation.
